राष्ट्रिय क्षयरोग कार्यक्रम नेपाल सरकारको प्राथमिक उपचार प्रणाली संग पूर्ण रुपमा एकीकृत रहेको छ | राष्ट्रिय क्षयरोग केन्द्र राष्ट्रिय क्षयरोग कार्यक्रमको केन्द्र बिन्दु हो | केन्द्रले राष्ट्रिय क्षयरोग कार्यक्रम सम्बन्धि नीति तर्जुमा, रणनीति निर्धारण तथा योजना बनाउने काम गर्छ | केन्द्रमा रहेको केन्द्रिय प्रयोगशाला क्षयरोग कार्यक्रमको प्रयोगशाला संजालको केन्द्रबिन्दुको रुपमा रहेको जसले मुख्य रुपमा नीति/मार्गदर्शन विकास, तालिम संचालन, गुणस्तर नियन्त्रण र अनुगमनको काम गर्छ | यस केन्द्रका प्रमुख कार्यहरुमा प्राविधिक सहयोग क्षयरोग, अनुगमन तथा मुल्यांकन, तालिम संचालन, सुपरिवेक्षण, आपूर्ति व्यवस्थापन, स्वास्थ्य शिक्षा तथा संचारका साथै अनुसन्धान लगायत पर्दछन | Furthermore, quantification and procurement and supply of anti-tuberculosis drugs are key responsibilities of the NTC. The NTC is procuring both first and second line anti TB drugs for the TB patients from Global Drug Facility (GDF). Drugs are distributed through the system of Logistics Management Division of the Department of Health Services. NTC has also established Programme Management Unit (PMU) at the central level for overall management of the Global Fund grants and provide technical inputs to formulate policies, program, implementation, monitoring and evaluation for the programme. At the Regional level, NTP activities are planned and carried out in coordination and cooperation with the Regional Health Directorate. The Regional Tuberculosis Centre (RTC) in Pokhara provides technical support to TB control activities in the Western Region in coordination with National Tuberculosis Center. There is full time permanent Regional TB Leprosy Officers (RTLO) appointed in each region. Regional levels are responsible for programme implementation within the regions. In addition, the regional office is responsible for training, monitoring & evaluation and supervision of programme activities. Regional office also provides logistical support, supply of TB drugs and other requirement through Regional Logistic Management Division.
